<Chicago> is a musical movie released in 2002. The original is the musical with the same name which was premiered in 1975.
This movie is about the two murders Velma Kelly and Roxie Heart. Velma Kelly is the most famous vaudville actor in Chicago. However one day she gets arrested because she killed her sister and husband who was in affair. That same day, Roxie Heart, who also dreams of singing and dancing on the stage kills her second lover because he exploited and lied to her. The story begins when the two murderers meet and try to get out of the jail...

Why CHICAGO?
There are several reasons why I say <Chicago> is the best musical movie to me.
First, the characters are so unique. There's no such thing as kind person or the good triumphing over the evil. All the characters are bad or stupid or clever or does the both. Conflict and unity between those evil characters feel really fresh and creative.
Second, one of the most important element of musical movie is "Music" which we call "Number" in musical. All the numbers in this movie is perfect. <Cell Block Tango>,<All that Jazz>,<Both Reached for the Gun> and etc. There are still many numbers I want to write but the space won't be enough.
At last, the acting of actors are epic. Renne Zellweger perfectly acts stupid but cute murderer Roxie Heart. Even when she says sophistry like "Who says that murder is not an art?" audience get persuaded and nod their head. All the other actors' acting are also surprisingly good. So I strongly recommend watching this movie while quarantine.
